W H Butler & Sons ( Founders ) Ltd
are non-ferrous founders, operating out of a purpose built foundry
in Chesterfield, N E Derbyshire.
Of small to medium size with a workforce
of 30, the foundry produces aluminium and copper based castings,
delivered on time and at a truly competitive price.

began producing castings in 1922 and has a long and well-established
history of success. For 75 years the company operated from its
original factory buildings in Dronfield town centre. In 1996
the company re located to its present purpose built site in Whittington,
Chesterfield. The foundry is now the largest of its kind in the
local area producing castings using modern day methods whilst
still drawing on knowledge and experience developed over four
generations, spanning 80 years.
Specializing in both sand and gravity die
castings we can cater for batch numbers ranging from one offs,
up to quantities exceeding tens of thousands, in any grade of
aluminium or copper based metal. By utilising skilled moulders
and die casters, we can maintain a high degree of flexibility
to cater for every feasible shape, size and quantity of casting
required. Our casting service is second to none, whatever your
requirement, we are flexible enough to meet your demands.
Our production processes offer a high degree
of flexibility to our casting approach. If your demands were
for small runs of relatively small castings we would recommend
using the green sand process. Larger size and quantity would
be more suited to the air set sand process. Very large quantities
would require gravity die-casting. We can evaluate your demands
and precisely identify the process best suited to your individual
needs.

offers a unique service in the supply of cast iron bar. We have
an extensive stock of square, rectangle and round continual cast
bar. With cutting facilities in house we specialise in the quick
supply of sawn blanks and lengths of bar in all shapes and sizes.
